Moray Council’s Urban Freedom projects are designed to create more opportunities for residents to undertake journeys by active and/or sustainable means. Our website aims to provide information on sustainable travel and keep you up to date and involved in the projects.
Urban Freedom is the brand used to promote sustainable travel projects taking place in Moray. Our projects are funded through the European Union, Scottish Government, Sustrans, Living Streets, Hitrans, Cycling Scotland and Moray Council.
The aim of the project is to help reduce short car journeys, increase levels of active travel and leave a lasting legacy of improved infrastructure. This is delivered along with the promotion of the benefits to individuals, society and the environment from changing our travel habits towards more active and/or sustainable forms of travel.
